- The media reported on a possible meeting of the heads of the three European countries with Zelensky on June 7.
The meeting of the leaders of Great Britain Keir Starmer, France Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is scheduled for the evening of June 7 in Britain. The parties should discuss issues related to possible negotiations with Russia. This was reported by Bloomberg on June 5, citing informed sources.
Zelensky's plans may still change, and the meeting may be postponed, the sources said. At the same time, the interlocutors noted that there is still no consensus in Europe on the issue of the European Union's entry into negotiations with Moscow and who could represent the bloc.
French President Emmanuel Macron said on June 5 that Europe was interested in building a dialogue with Russia on security issues and other topics of mutual interest. As he stressed, Paris has always advocated direct negotiations between Moscow and Kiev.
