Hamilton showed the best time in the second practice of the Monaco Grand Prix
On June 5, British racing driver Lewis Hamilton from the Ferrari team became the leader of the second free practice of the sixth stage of the Formula 1 World Championship, the Monaco Grand Prix, which takes place on the city circuit in Monte Carlo.
Hamilton drove 34 laps, showing the best time — 1 minute 13.026 seconds. His teammate Charles Leclair was second with 0.111 seconds behind, while the Dutchman Max Verstappen from Red Bull was third (+0.168).
The session was interrupted with a red flag four and a half minutes before the end after Mexican Cadillac racer Sergio Perez's brakes caught fire. Practice resumed two minutes before the end.
The Monaco Grand Prix race will take place on Sunday, June 7.
Mercedes Italian racer Kimi Antonelli won the fifth stage of the Formula 1 Grand Prix World Championship in Canada on May 24. The second place was taken by British racer Lewis Hamilton from the Ferrari team, he was 10.768 seconds behind the winner.
