Bashkiria plans to install a six-meter replica of the Motherland monument in the village of Askarovo. The grand opening of the monument is scheduled for Russia Day, June 12, the head of the Abzelilovsky district, Airat Aminev, said on the VKontakte social network.

"The monument is dedicated to those who did not return from the fighting. Now, when we come to the Eternal Flame with our children and grandchildren, we can just raise our heads and say, "Look, this is our story. This is our pain. This is our pride." Children will understand everything without unnecessary words," Aminev said.

The head of the district added that the monument would be visible from afar.

On May 10, Russian military assault units of the 29th Guards Army of the Vostok group of forces laid a wreath and flowers at a pedestal with a T-34 tank in the liberated Volnovakha of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). The soldiers noted that the memory of the heroic deeds of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War (WWII) helps to complete the most difficult combat tasks on the front lines in the zone of a special military operation.
