Russian President Vladimir Putin has called on countries to create their own digital platforms, warning of the threat of technological dependence. He stated this on June 5 during the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026).
"Other people's services may be convenient at first, but then the price of dependence will definitely show up," he said.
