The Khamovnichesky court of Moscow has arrested Khatuna Atashyan, accused of fraud under the pretext of organizing tourist trips. This was reported on June 5 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

The girl will remain in custody until August 3.

Atashyan's lawyer, Valery Sarkisov, clarified that the girl had fully paid off the damage and returned some of the money to her clients even before her detention. Atashyan admitted her guilt and explained that she had tried to hide because of the threats she received.

Irina Volk, the official representative of the Russian Interior Ministry, said on June 3 that Atashyan had been detained in Minsk. She published information about foreign tours on attractive terms — bloggers and media personalities became the main clients of the scammer. According to investigators, Atashyan promised them accommodation under advertising contracts or partner programs, claiming that they only needed to pay for the trip of their companions. The damage caused by the actions of the attacker exceeded 10 million rubles.
