Peskov said that he does not use TikTok.
On June 5, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov answered questions in the style of "strem or norm" in the VK blogger studio at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
"It's a strem. Don't do that," he urged media workers, assessing the incorrect quoting of his statements by journalists.
Peskov also added that it was "more likely" for him to answer questions with the phrase "no comment." The press secretary's preferred time to wake up is 8:00 a.m., and he doesn't use TikTok and treats news about himself with indifference. Answering a question about the end of his sports career, Peskov said that every stage of his life is accompanied by successes and difficulties.
"You should always be aware that this is an inevitable process. And we need to maintain self—confidence, endless self-confidence," he stressed.
The Kremlin's official representative, who is also chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Russian Chess Federation, spoke about the benefits of chess for children. According to him, among those who studied chess in childhood, there will never be an addict, they do not become addicted and are not susceptible to this terrible evil. Peskov called it a mystery, but noted that this was indeed the case. He also believes that more and more schools in Russia and the world are including chess in their programs because this sport teaches life.
In 2020, Peskov announced his hospitalization due to the coronavirus. He was discharged two weeks later, but was forced to stay at home in quarantine. During this time, Peskov grew a beard, the photo was distributed on social networks. Answering a question from journalists, he noted that he did not change his image, but "just did not shave." The Kremlin's official representative then added that he would get rid of his beard before going to work to mark a complete victory over the disease "both de facto and de jure."
