house.On the sidelines of SPIEF 2026 at the Roscongress Urban Hub, the Russian Federation and the government of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic signed an agreement on the integrated socio-economic development of the territory of the Cherkessk municipality, the press service of DOM.RF reported. The document provides for the development and subsequent implementation of a master plan for the capital of the region with the involvement of DOM.RF expertise.
The General Director of the HOUSE.Commenting on the signing, Vitaly Mutko stressed that the implementation of the solutions included in the master plan will be aimed at creating comfortable living conditions for citizens, developing public spaces and providing additional incentives for housing construction.
"We are ready to apply the best federal practices for the sustainable development of Cherkessk. DOM.The Russian Federation uses an integrated approach in the development of urban areas. With the company's participation, 11 master plans have already been developed in five regions of the North Caucasus. Karachay-Cherkessia will occupy a special place on our list. Cherkessk is becoming a fast-growing logistics hub at the entrance to the famous Arkhyz resort, where the Bank is located.The Russian Federation finances projects to create a tourist infrastructure worth more than 50 billion rubles," Mutko said.
The agreement is long-term in nature and covers a wide range of tasks. In addition to the direct development of the master plan, among the priorities is the careful preservation of cultural heritage and the involvement of cultural heritage sites in economic turnover. To do this, it is planned to attract private and corporate investments in restoration projects, apply existing government support measures, and launch specialized information campaigns aimed at potential investors.
The head of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, Rashid Temrezov, called the signing of the agreement an important step in implementing the unified list of Russian strongholds and fulfilling the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation regarding the development of the housing sector and improving the quality of the urban environment.
