Pushilin noted the growing interest of investors in cooperation with the DPR
Over the past few days, investors have concluded agreements with the government of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) totaling 223 billion rubles. This was announced on June 5 by the head of the republic Denis Pushilin in the Izvestia studio at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026).
"Six <...> agreements can be singled out, and the planned investment targets are 223 billion [rubles]. <...> These are already specific indicators, now we will implement them directly," he said.
According to the head of the region, the documents cover various areas, including industry, agriculture and construction of facilities. Pushilin also noted the work of the free economic zone and the two percent preferential mortgage program, thanks to which investors' interest in the republic is growing.
"It's not just <...> attraction that's going on here, that at least someone will come to build something. No, the conversation is already taking place in completely different contexts, probably. Now we are talking about the fact that they are already [investing in] vacant land," Pushilin stressed.
He added that due to the shortage of sites in the region, they are moving to the integrated development of territories and the use of sites with inefficient construction. According to the head of the DPR, the work is being carried out as part of the formation of a new look of cities that meets the needs of residents.
On the same day, the head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, announced in the Izvestia studio during the SPIEF that 600 thousand square meters of housing are planned to be commissioned in the republic in 2030, and 73 construction sites have already been commissioned in the region. He said that over the period 2023-2025, more than 150 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned.
