A possible prototype of the sixth—generation F—47 fighter jet has been spotted over Area 51, a secret US Air Force test base in Nevada. TWZ writes about this on June 5.

The publication drew attention to the footage captured by the thermal imaging camera, which spread online. The aircraft is shaped like an F-47, which has not yet been publicly demonstrated. Externally, the fighter is similar to the experimental X-36, developed in the 1990s by McDonnell Douglas (absorbed by Boeing in 1997).

An idea of the possible shape of the F-47 can be obtained from renderings of defense companies: a Lambda-type wing, large front horizontal stabilizers, a wide nose and two engines.

"At this stage, it is necessary to take into account that there is no confirmation of the authenticity of the image, neither official nor any other. We contacted the BBC to try to establish its authenticity, but they declined to comment," the publication says.
