Bank ROSSIYA and St. Petersburg signed an agreement in the field of financial culture

The cooperation agreement between St. Petersburg and Bank ROSSIYA was signed on the sidelines of SPIEF 2026 by the Vice Governor of St. Petersburg‑Alexey Korabelnikov from St. Petersburg and Tatiana Polinko, Chairman of the Management Board of Bank ROSSIYA.

The parties plan to develop cooperation to improve the level of financial culture and financial literacy of St. Petersburg residents. An important step for this is the formation of citizens' trust in the financial market and the development of financial and economic consulting.

Within the framework of the agreement, joint events will be held, including financial literacy days and educational campaigns.

We have an even more important task ahead of us — to make financial culture a part of every Petersburger's life. To do this, it is important to cover all age groups, from the youngest to the oldest generation, so that knowledge is acquired from competent mentors and consolidated in the home environment by all family members. The Finance Committee of St. Petersburg is already implementing a number of socially significant projects in the field of financial and budgetary literacy - an open lecture hall "Your Finances are the silver age", quests for students "Budget orientation". Thanks to the participation of Bank ROSSIYA, it will be possible to bring financial education to a larger number of Petersburgers," Alexey Korabelnikov emphasized.

The efforts of the parties will be aimed at implementing the measures of the plan for improving the level of financial literacy and the formation of financial culture of the population of St. Petersburg for 2026-2035. In this part, the work will be carried out with the support of the Interdepartmental Commission on Improving Financial Literacy of the population of St. Petersburg, which includes representatives of the executive authorities of St. Petersburg, territorial bodies of federal executive authorities, the North-Western Main Directorate of the Bank of Russia and specialized universities of the city.
