Kobyakov and Cook discussed prospects for restoring the Russian-American dialogue

Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, and Rodney Cook, official representative of the President of the United States of America, head of the U.S. delegation to the SPIEF, Chairman of the U.S. Commission on Fine Arts, met on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

During the conversation, the parties discussed the prospects for restoring Russian-American cooperation, as well as the development of humanitarian, cultural and business ties between the two countries.

"The global world order cannot be balanced based on the policy of sanctions. To achieve peace as soon as possible, it is necessary to restore an open and pragmatic dialogue between Russia and the United States," stressed Anton Kobyakov.

Rodney Cook noted with great satisfaction the positive emotions he feels from his visit to Russia and emphasized its special importance. He also said that he intends to submit proposals and initiatives prepared following the trip to US President Donald Trump in the near future.

In addition, Rodney Cook informed about his extensive program of stay in St. Petersburg during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, including participation in business dialogues and other events of the forum's business program, as well as cultural and social events.

The parties discussed ways and opportunities to restore cooperation between Russia and the United States, noting the importance of maintaining communication channels and developing contacts in various areas of mutual interest.
