The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has initiated the creation of a unified accounting system for non-tax payments, and the new registry will make life easier for businesses. This was announced on June 5 by Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Alexander Gutsan at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

"Many entrepreneurs sometimes find out about them after the deadline for payment expires, and this, as you know, leads to fines and other unpleasant consequences for business. To exclude them, on our initiative, the government has organized work to create a unified accounting system for non—tax payments," Gutsan said.

During the session "Improving tools to support bona fide business and investment in the new economic realities," the Prosecutor General also noted that various mandatory contributions, of which there are hundreds in all industries, create an additional financial burden for businesses.

On April 1, the Federal Tax Service announced that new rules for filling out payment orders for transfers to the budget system of the Russian Federation, such as taxes, fees and fines, as well as for payments to treasury accounts, came into force in Russia. Now individual entrepreneurs must indicate in the "Payer" field not only the surname, first name and patronymic, but also the status of the "sole proprietor" in parentheses.
