Nuts and dried fruits are an important source of vitamins, minerals and other beneficial substances. However, only fresh and high-quality products benefit the body, which can be checked before purchase. This was announced on June 5 by Sergey Lednev, head of the Quality Department at Masterfood.

"When the package is closed, freshness can be checked, if you put a little pressure on the nut, the spoiled one will easily "break", the high—quality one will not change. The dried fruit should be of medium softness to the touch and also keep its shape," the expert explained in an interview with Gazeta.Ru».

According to Lednev, it is important to pay attention to the production date.: the closer it is to the harvest period, the higher the chance of freshness. When choosing between a bulk product and a packaged one, as the expert pointed out, it is better to give preference to sealed packaging: otherwise, the product loses its freshness faster upon contact with air.

In addition, the expert recommended thoroughly rinsing nuts and dried fruits before use to remove possible contaminants and preservative residues, including sulfur dioxide.

Among them are fatty and fried foods, sausage and sweet pastries. She added that it is also better not to eat foods high in simple carbohydrates for breakfast, such as sweets or sugary cereals. They cause a sharp spike in blood sugar levels and, if consumed regularly, increase the risk of developing metabolic disorders.
