The trend of job hugging is becoming more popular among Russians, which consists in the desire to hold onto a job for a long time, even in the absence of career growth. This was announced on June 5 by the HR director of the developer Level Group, Valentina Romanova.
"There's nothing wrong with holding on to a job. But it is important to continue to develop within this company, and not just "gain a foothold" in place," she said in an interview with Gazeta.Ru».
According to Romanova, such a strategy becomes most frequent during periods of uncertainty. She attributed the difficulties of moving to a new organization after many years of work to one of the main risks. People who have been in the same corporation for a long time gain the trust of employers, but during the transition it is more difficult for them to adapt to conditions in a new environment and under new management models.
Romanova also noted that new employees in similar positions may receive more than those who have been working for a long time. This may occur against the background of the lack of regular salary reviews and market analysis within the company.
