As a result of an accident with a double-decker bus in Thailand, 28 people were injured. This was reported on June 5 by the newspaper Matichon.
"A double–decker air—conditioned bus, number 993-4, plying the Surat Thani - Bangkok route, left the road, crashed into the median strip and overturned, receiving significant damage," the publication says.
It is specified that police officers, rescuers and ambulance crews promptly arrived at the scene. They inspected the accident site and provided assistance to the injured.
According to preliminary data, there were 31 people on the bus, including passengers and crew members. 23 people received minor injuries, five more were more seriously injured.
On May 31, the TRT Haber TV channel reported an accident with a bus in the Turkish province of Denizli. It was noted that while driving along the highway, the bus collided with a road fence, as a result of which it caught fire. Emergency services were sent to the scene, which helped the victims and extinguished the fire. There were 38 passengers and three employees of the carrier company inside. According to local authorities, a Kyrgyz citizen was among the eight dead.
