Air defense systems destroyed an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) heading towards the capital. This was announced on June 5 by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

"The air defense forces of the Ministry of Defense destroyed one UAV flying to Moscow," a message on the Maks messenger said.

According to Sobyanin, emergency services are working at the crash site.
