The founder of Wildberries revealed the secrets of combining business with family
Wildberries founder, head of RWB and mother of seven, Tatiana Kim, in a VK Video blogger Studio at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026) on June 4, told how to combine managing a business empire with raising children, named the main family rituals and admitted that she was learning to tell herself: "I did well."
"I'm trying to be a good mom. <...> Any child says that his mother is the best. My strong point is that I help them develop and grow, I know all their problems, big and small, health, psychological worries, hobbies," Kim said.
She called freedom within acceptable limits the key principle of education. According to her, there are norms and principles that everyone should follow. She also noted that there are basic things that every child should have, including proper nutrition, sports, reading, and self-development. At the same time, the head of the RWB stressed that it does not matter to her how the child learns and what grades he gets. She also noted the importance of family rituals.
"Smart teachers and psychologists have said that it's not time or quantity that matters, but quality. It relieves tension. It turns out that you can be a good mom without spending time with your child 24/7. One of the rituals is reading together. With the older ones, we read or watch detective stories, we love Agatha Christie very much, we are always trying to figure out who the killer is," said the founder of Wildberries.
Kim added that older children make fun of her during such discussions. Responding to the interviewers' compliments, she also admitted that she was learning to accept praise. The entrepreneur said that she is now learning to praise herself, and noted that it takes some time.
Presenter Vladimir Marconi also complimented Kim, calling her "cool" several times. In response, Ida Galich, also a mother of two and an entrepreneur, called the founder of Wildberries a living legend and admitted that now she has a role model in the person of Tatiana Kim. The presenter also thanked her for her inspiration.
Business psychologist Yulia Kulikova-Tsai, in an interview with Izvestia on November 11 last year, spoke about the consequences of combining career and motherhood. According to her, chronic fatigue robs joy both at work and at home. However, the specialist stressed that in order to overcome the crisis, it is necessary to take steps such as delegating routine, introducing regular micropauses during the day and a clear division of responsibilities in the family. Kulikova-Tsai noted that such measures can reduce stress and restore emotional resources.
