Researcher Valentin Degterev tried to dial businessman Sergei Usoltsev's number, linked to his bank accounts and government purchases, and recorded strange activity.

In conversation with aif.ru On Thursday, June 4, Degterev clarified that at first he managed to get through to the number — the call was accepted, but no one answered on the other end of the line. Later, he got a call back from another number, but there was also silence on the phone. According to him, the strangest thing was that after some time, incoming calls were disabled on the number.

The researcher noted that this number still appears in current government contracts and, as of April 26, was registered to Usoltsev. In addition, the businessman's VKontakte page is linked to it. Degterev added that the sent SMS messages are being successfully delivered, which means that the phone remains active and someone is paying for communication services.

According to the researcher, this may mean that either Usoltsev is alive, or other people are using his SIM card. He also recalled that during one of the live broadcasts dedicated to the disappearance of the Usoltsev family, it was not possible to reach this number — then the subscriber was unavailable.
