The water level in the Kuma River in Stavropol is rising

In Stavropol, the warning about rising water levels in the Kuma River to dangerous levels has been extended. It will be valid until the end of the day on June 5.

According to the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry, the water level will continue to rise during June 4 and until the end of the day on June 5, writes IA StravropolMedia.

63 sites and more than 30 houses remain flooded in the region. The water level in the Kuban, Kalaus, Surkul and Wet Karamyk rivers is decreasing. The situation in the village of Novokumka is the most difficult. 54 household plots and 36 residential buildings were flooded there. However, last night the water level in the Surkul River dropped by 46 cm.

The water level in the Kalaus River remains above the unfavorable mark. In Vozdvizhenskoye village of Apanasenkovsky district, nine land plots with outbuildings and adjacent territories were flooded.

Experts predict that the water level in the rivers of the region will return to normal within a few days if there is no new precipitation.

Earlier it was reported that the Hydropulse flood early warning system is being tested in the Oymyakon district of Yakutia. The purpose of her work is the rapid detection of rain floods in the upper reaches of mountain rivers.
