Russo-Balt has changed the name of its debut electric car.

The Perm firm Russo-Balt has announced a name change for its debut model. In the process of preparing documentation for certification, it was decided to rename it from "F200" to "F20", representatives of the brand said in their Telegram channel on June 4.

The company said that the updated F20 body is currently being prepared for certification tests. It is stated that already in the basic version, the van will be all-wheel drive, and the maximum achievable power of the power plant will be 400 hp. The power reserve will be about 400 km on a single battery charge.

By default, the electric car will also have disc brakes on all wheels, an anti-lock braking system (ABS), a stabilization system (ESP) and an ERA-GLONASS emergency call system. The body is made of stainless steel.

In March, the company announced that it was going to be certified and approved by the end of 2026, which would allow the launch of mass sales of the van in Russia. The design of the model with its angular body and distinctive design of the head optics resembles a futuristic Tesla Cybertruck pickup truck. In May, Rospatent issued a patent for an industrial design of a van.

On April 26, Russo-Balt announced a new passenger car model, the Russo—Balt C55 electric crossover, which is scheduled to be presented in the summer of 2026. It is claimed that the power plant of the model is a dual-engine system with a capacity of 550 hp, and optionally it can consist of four electric motors with a total capacity of 1000 hp.
