At the SPIEF, the launch of the new Senat 900 sedan at the ex-Toyota plant was launched

The presentation of the new Senat 900 sedan took place at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, launched production of the model at the former Toyota automobile plant in St. Petersburg during the forum.

The Senat 900 is the first car of the new brand, it is based on the Chinese model and is not related to the products of the Russian Aurus. Its length is 5.14 m. The car is equipped with a three-liter V6 turbo engine located longitudinally, which is combined with an 8-speed hydromechanical automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive transmission.

The engine power is 326 hp (340 Nm), acceleration from zero to "hundred" takes 6.5 seconds. Suspension of all wheels — pneumatic, independent: the front is mounted on double wishbones, the rear is multi—link.

The interior is decorated with natural materials: wood and nappa leather. An airplane-type folding table is provided in the second row of the cabin. The seats have electric drive, massage, heating and ventilation. There is wireless charging for a smartphone, a projection screen on the windshield, an electric steering column adjustment and mirrors with memory of three positions, door closers.

Toyota has announced that it will cease production of cars at its plant in St. Petersburg in September 2022.

The day before, the Aurus brand presented updated Senat and convertible models at the SPIEF. The characteristics of the car were presented at the stand of the new Senate Cabriolet. Its curb weight is 3,195 kg, the power of the gasoline engine reaches 598 hp, and the electric power is 46 kW.
