Ford recalls 420 thousand cars due to seat belt defect

Ford has announced the recall of the 2018-2022 Expedition and Lincoln Navigator SUVs due to a possible malfunction of the seat belt tensioners in the front seats.

According to the American National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the mechanism is capable of inadvertently locking the belt, depriving the driver and passengers of protection in the event of a collision. Dealerships will check cars for free and replace defective parts if necessary.
