An emergency situation regime was introduced in the Slavyansky district of Kuban after the dam burst, and the regional authorities began evacuating residents. This was announced on June 4 by the Unified Duty and Dispatch Service (EDDS).

"The proran spill threatens the village of Khutor Urma (9.5 km from Proran). The public was notified with the inclusion of sirens. Evacuation is underway. <...> A decision has been made to introduce the "Emergency situation" mode of operation, — noted in the message of the EDDS on the Maks channel.

It is noted that a 25-30 m wide hole was formed in a dam on the Kuban River behind the Neftyanik garden non-profit partnership. According to updated information, 17 people have already been evacuated, they are staying in a hotel in the village of Anastasievskaya.

A day earlier, the regional operational headquarters reported that residents of three settlements were being evacuated in the Krymsky district of the Krasnodar Territory due to a partial overflow of the Kuban River through a dam in the area of the Zapadny farm. It was clarified that the population of the Zapadny farm, the village of Gvardeisky, the Urma farm and the Yodnik farm were being taken out of the potentially dangerous zone.

Also on June 2, the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory introduced an emergency regime in several settlements of the Crimean region due to overflowing water from the Kuban riverbed and the threat of flooding.
