In the future, Russia expects to fully repay its external debt, which currently stands at about 10%. This was stated on June 4 by Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov at the session "How to return to the trajectory of sustainable economic growth in the face of global uncertainty" within the framework of SPIEF 2026.

"We have an external debt of only 10%, which we will pay off soon, and I hope that there will be no such debts left," he said.
