The search area for the Usoltsev family, who disappeared in the mountainous taiga of the Krasnoyarsk Territory last fall, will be cordoned off when operational activities resume. This was reported by law enforcement agencies on Thursday, June 4.

"The search area for the Usoltsevs will be closed from unauthorized persons due to the conduct of search activities," TASS quoted law enforcement agencies as saying.

On the same day, the GSU of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Khakassia reported that investigators were taking additional measures to search for the Usoltsev family. In total, about 80 people will participate in the events. Criminologists have already identified specific tourist search sites. The work will take place on hiking trails in the direction of Kuturchinsky Belogorye.

The loss of the Usoltsev family in the Minsk Loop area, when they were heading to Mount Pinocchio, was reported on September 28, 2025. As a result of the search, more than 515 km of forest roads and 40 square kilometers of woodlands were explored.

Subsequently, on October 30, it became known that Usoltsev was the owner of a paint manufacturing company. It was noted that on October 14, he was supposed to submit a report on the expenditure of state grants, but then he disappeared along with his wife and daughter.

A representative of the LizaAlert detachment, Serafima Choodu, said on April 17 that employees of the Investigative Committee, the police and rescuers were planning to visit the place of the disappearance of the Usoltsev family in May.
