American journalist Christopher Helali, who previously visited the site of the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Starobilsk, on June 4 on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) announced that he wanted to obtain Russian citizenship and sent a corresponding letter to Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

"Yes, of course. I am considering the possibility of obtaining Russian citizenship. I have sent a letter to President Putin and hope to become a Russian citizen in the coming months," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

On June 3, Khelali said that a trip to the site of a terrorist attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Starobilsk allowed foreign journalists to bring the truth to a Western audience about the crimes of the Kiev regime.
