Ash was released at the Shiveluch volcano in the Kamchatka Territory to an altitude of about 8 km above sea level. This was announced on May 6 in the press service of the Kamchatka branch of the Federal Research Center "Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences".
"The height of the ash release was about 8 thousand meters above sea level," the message in the Maks messenger says.
On May 26, the head of the volcano station in the village of Klyuchi, Yuri Demyanchuk, reported that the Shiveluch volcano continues to erupt according to its typical scenario. According to him, ash emissions on the volcano occur almost daily.
