A trip to the site of the terrorist attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Starobilsk allowed foreign journalists to bring the truth to a Western audience about the crimes of the Kiev regime. This was announced on June 3 by American journalist Christopher Helali.

"It was very important for us to be there to show the truth and bring it to a Western audience, which we did," he told RIA Novosti on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the academic building and the dormitory of the Starobilsk Pedagogical College on May 22. A criminal case was opened under Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act") in connection with the tragedy, which killed 21 people and injured 65 others. Foreign journalists who arrived at the damaged children's facility were eventually banned from publishing reports from there.

Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations (UN) Vasily Nebenzia pointed out on May 28 that the brutality with which the Kiev regime attacked children at a college in Starobilsk can be compared with the actions of the Nazis.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on May 29 that foreign journalists should be ashamed of covering up information about the terrorist attack staged by Ukraine at the Starobilsk College of the Lugansk People's Republic (LNR). Against this background, the Russian leader called the Western media a means of mass deception.
