Rutte did not give Zelensky an answer to a question about Patriot
During a press conference on June 3 in Kiev with the participation of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte did not give him the opportunity to answer a journalist's question about the lack of Patriot air defense systems in Ukraine.
During a press conference, a Bloomberg representative asked Zelensky about the progress of negotiations between Kiev and Washington regarding the supply of Patriot systems. Rutte seized the initiative from the President of Ukraine, adds "Газета.Ru ".
"Can I start, because here I have to stand up for the States. I believe that they are doing everything possible to supply missiles for Patriot to Ukraine. I really believe in this, based on all the evidence that I have," RIA Novosti quoted Rutte as saying.
Rutte said on the same day that the issue of Ukraine's membership in NATO in practice does not have the unanimous support of all members of the bloc.
On June 3, Zelensky expressed dissatisfaction with the slowness of Western countries in supplying Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems. Zelensky added that even the legal aspects of the arms transfer have not yet been worked out, but Ukraine expects to complete the preparatory procedures within a week.
