The United States' NATO partners have full information about every action of the United States related to the reshuffle of its European troops. This was announced on June 3 by Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

"Everything we do does not come as a shock or surprise to our NATO allies. They are informed about every step of this process," he said during testimony to the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee.

According to the US Secretary of State, the Pentagon and the military have to constantly allocate very significant, but still limited resources between different regions of the world.

On June 2, TV3 announced the withdrawal of more than 1,000 U.S. troops and equipment from Lithuania. It was noted that in the future, departed American soldiers may be replaced by their colleagues. However, the exact timing and number of new troops is not yet known, as Washington is reviewing plans to deploy troops in Europe.

The German newspaper Die Welt reported on May 30 that the United States intends to accelerate the withdrawal of its military contingent from European countries. According to the newspaper, it is planned to reduce the number of troops in case the United States participates in several military confrontations at the same time.

The Reuters news agency reported on May 26 that the United States is considering significantly reducing its military contribution to NATO. According to the newspaper, a closed briefing was held at the headquarters of the alliance last week, at which Washington representatives announced plans to reduce the provision of key military capabilities. We are talking, in particular, about fighter jets, warships, drones and tanker planes.
