Overhaul of public utilities has begun in Severobaikalsk

Major repairs of heating and water supply networks have started in Severobaikalsk (Republic of Buryatia). The goal is to improve the quality of public services and reduce heat and water losses.

For example, excavation work is already underway on the site at 5 Leningradsky Prospekt to install new pipes. The territory was fenced off, sidewalks, metal fences and paths were removed. After the renovation is completed, the landscaping will be restored as soon as possible.

It is also planned to upgrade the engineering networks on Parkovaya Street. 131.5 million rubles have been allocated for these purposes. Repairs are expected to be completed by October 2026.

The project is being implemented within the framework of the federal initiative "Modernization of communal Infrastructure", which is part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life".

According to IA UlanMedia, 2.8 km of worn-out networks were replaced in the city in 2025. The reconstruction significantly increased the reliability of the system and reduced the risk of accidents.
