Honored fencing coach of the RSFSR Alfred Zuev passed away at the age of 85. This was announced on June 3 by the press service of the Russian Fencing Federation.

"At the age of 86, the honored coach of the RSFSR, Alfred Dmitrievich Zuev, passed away. Alfred Dmitrievich devoted his whole life to coaching and was absolutely devoted to fencing," the press service said in a Telegram channel.

He started his career in 1965. Since 1981, Zuev has worked as a coach in the national team of the country. In 1992, he was a member of the coaching staff of the United CIS Team at the Olympic Games in Barcelona.

The Federation expressed its condolences to the family, friends and students of Alfred Dmitrievich. Farewell to the coach will take place on June 6.
