Two residents of the Lipetsk region suffered from snake bites
In the Lipetsk region, two people went to the doctors with snake bites. Residents of the region are asked to exercise caution.
According to GOROD48, a man who encountered a viper while walking and a woman who was injured on the beach went to the Lipetsk emergency hospital. They have received the necessary assistance.
In total, four species of snakes live in the Lipetsk region. These are common and water snakes, common copperhead and common viper. The only danger to humans is the viper. As a rule, reptiles do not attack humans and can only bite in self-defense.
Viper venom affects blood clotting. In the first minutes after the bite, swelling appears, which gradually increases. Victims report weakness, dizziness, and nausea. Fainting is also possible.
