The water level in the Kuma River in the Stavropol Territory can reach dangerous values. The ascent will continue throughout the day on June 3, at night and the next morning.

In connection with what is happening, residents of the region are urged to exercise caution and, if necessary, call the emergency service at 112, the Emergency Service said.

Since June 1, a municipal emergency mode has been introduced in Mineralnye Vody, where, in particular, the Kuma River flows, due to the consequences of the flood. The village of Levokumka suffered the most, where 36 houses and 54 land plots are still flooded.

According to the StavropolMedia news agency, a difficult situation is also developing on the Kalaus River — in the Svetlograd area it has risen by half a meter in a day. The warning about rising water is valid until the end of the day on June 3.
