- Protasov pointed to the constant growth of consumer confidence in the quality mark of the Russian Federation
Every day, more and more consumers trust the revived Russian quality mark at the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin, and also prefer ready-made food. This was announced on June 3 by Maxim Protasov, head of Roskachestvo, in the Izvestia studio at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026).
"Knowledge and trust in the Russian state quality mark, thank God, is also constantly increasing. <...> Trust in the Russian quality mark of 80% is the highest level of trust among any brands and trademarks that exist on our market," he said.
The head of Roskachestvo added that now 51% of the total number of buyers recognize the corresponding mark placed on the goods. To track this and other indicators, as Protasov explained, surveys are constantly being conducted, which have become especially relevant in the so-called "post-covid time."
Research allows us to identify the preferences of Russians, which are often transformed into whole consumer trends. For example, according to recent data, the popularity of regular purchases of ready-made food has begun to be recorded in society.
"In terms of numbers, it really looks like a new serious trend right now. 44% of Russian consumers say that every week, at least once a week, they purchase one or another product of the so-called ready-to-eat industry, that is, what is sold in retail chains already prepared. This is the figure, which, of course, was not there a few years ago," Protasov clarified.
At the same time, he also pointed out that 84% of Russians surveyed strive to lead a healthy lifestyle, which is "something to be proud of." The head of Roskachestvo added that his organization is currently developing and certifying the appropriate type of nutrition.
The results of the survey, which was reviewed by Izvestia on February 3, showed that about 80% of Russian citizens consider healthy and healthy nutrition to be the basis of a healthy lifestyle. At the same time, this trend is most acute among residents of Moscow and the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District. It was noted that people who adhere to this lifestyle argue their position with the desire to control weight and have more energy.
