In Moscow, from June 6 to September 20, a series of events "Friend, rescuer, defender" will be held, aimed at dog owners and those who are just planning to get a four-legged pet. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of the capital Natalia Sergunina, who clarified that the project will cover over 100 sites throughout the city, equipped according to the "Pets in Moscow" project.

According to her, the program includes "about 300 events in various formats: from lectures by experts to competitions." "Participants will be able to learn more about dog care and the specifics of their training, depending on the breed," Sergunina said.

The season will be kicked off by the Russian Cynological Federation Agility (speed obstacle course) championship, which is being organized for the third time. The competition will be held on June 6 at the Cynological Park on Kola Street. They will be attended not only by representatives of Moscow, but also by animal owners and their charges from Tatarstan, Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod, Novgorod, Tver and other regions. Veterinarian consultations, photo shoots, children's workshops on creating toys for pets and much more are also planned.

On the Day of the Dog Handler, on June 21, demonstration performances of dogs participating in search operations and helping law enforcement officers will be held at the same site. Experts will tell everyone about the methods of training four-legged companions.

Since 2021, 104 modern dog-walking spaces have been set up in the capital as part of the Pets in Moscow project. In the coming months, their visitors will enjoy a rich program, including meetings with experts and open training sessions. You will need to register in advance for some events.
