Scientists have recorded a black flash on the Sun
A "black explosion" has occurred on the Sun, which will soon reach the Earth. This was announced on June 3 at the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of the IKI RAS.
According to the report, at 10:00 Moscow time, the luminary threw out a cloud of neutral hydrogen, which does not allow solar radiation to pass through. Scientists explained that the light from the star is completely consumed by the ionization of this substance.
"As a result, a black blanket seems to be thrown over the bright surface of the Sun, which exists until neutral hydrogen is completely ionized or goes beyond the solar disk. In this case, the second one happened," the message on the Telegram channel says.
It is noted that part of this black cloud will reach the Ground on the night of June 4 and partially penetrate the atmosphere, and then cool down and settle in rocks, oceans or will be absorbed by plants.
On the same day, the Sun experienced its strongest flare in the last month and a half. Laboratory experts noted that about 7% of the recorded outbreak was not enough to reach the threshold of the highest class X. The increase in activity began in the middle of the previous day.
