Dorogomilovo and Presnensky districts in Moscow will be connected by a pedestrian gallery

A gallery under the Dorogomilovsky Highway Bridge will become part of the new pedestrian route from the Akademika Koroleva Bridge to the Moscow City business center. This was announced on Wednesday, June 3, by Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning and Construction.

According to him, the project provides for the reconstruction of the lower level of the bridge, the creation of a pedestrian space and a descent to Moscow City. The project documentation is planned to be prepared by 2027, and the construction will be completed in 2029, NSN clarifies. The project will create an additional route between Dorogomilovo and Presnensky districts.

The metropolitan Urban Development Complex clarified that the gallery will be located on the territory of the Western and Central Administrative Districts, RIAMO notes. On the one hand, there will be a tower staircase to Taras Shevchenko Embankment, on the other — to Presnenskaya Embankment. Both descents are equipped with elevators, the website writes kp.ru .

In addition, according to Vasily Desyatov, head of the Moscow Department of Transport and Engineering Infrastructure Construction, an above-ground pedestrian bridge is being designed in parallel between the IQ-Quarter multifunctional complex and the Moscow City railway station, Moscow 24 reports.
