A new exit to the Komsomolskaya metro station has opened on the ground floor of the renovated Leningradsky Railway Station in Moscow. This was announced on Wednesday, June 3, by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Transport and Industry.

Now passengers on long-distance trains can get on the subway without going outside, and the journey to the station takes about two minutes. There is also a passage under Krasnoprudnaya Street in the basement. It is convenient for passengers traveling from Komsomolskaya metro station, Kazansky railway Station and public transport stops to Leningradsky Railway Station, writes Moscow 24.

Liksutov stressed that one of the main tasks of the reconstruction of the station was to create a convenient connection with the urban transport system. According to him, passengers can now quickly and comfortably transfer between trains, metro, surface transport and neighboring stations. He also noted that more than 40% of passengers consider it important to have clear and convenient transfers, so work on the integration of the transport hub will continue, according to the Moscow City News agency.

In May, Sergei Sobyanin and the head of Russian Railways (RZD) Oleg Belozerov opened Leningradsky railway station after extensive modernization. The renovated station has become part of the capital's largest transport hub, the Three Stations Square, which is used by more than 350,000 people daily.
