- The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation has liquidated the Social Protection Party
The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation has liquidated the Political Party of Social Protection (PSZ) at the request of the Ministry of Justice. This was reported on June 3 by a correspondent of Izvestia.
During the meeting, the representative of the Ministry of Justice clarified that the registration of party members was not conducted properly. He also pointed out violations in the work of the party's governing bodies, the lack of proper formation of the central office and the inconsistency of part of the charter with the legislation.
The party was established in 2012. According to media reports, the PSZ did not eliminate violations of the law and its own charter, identified during a routine inspection, which became the reason for filing a lawsuit.
The Supreme Court of Russia liquidated the Party of Growth in November last year. The reason for the decision was non-compliance with the requirements of the legislation, according to which the party must have regional branches in at least half of the subjects of the Russian Federation. At the same time, party branches operated in only 43 regions.
