Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a meeting with voters in Gegharkunik region on June 3 that if he is re-elected in the June parliamentary elections, he intends to visit Russia again and meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"We agreed that after the elections I will go again, and we will meet and resolve all current issues," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

According to the Armenian leader, such a moment was discussed on June 1, his birthday, when Putin sent him congratulations by phone. Pashinyan clarified that then they managed to have a practical conversation. According to the results, as the Prime Minister emphasized, the parties agreed to continue face-to-face contacts.

On June 1, the Kremlin's website clarified that the Russian president, in a conversation with Pashinyan, recalled that Russian-Armenian relations are traditionally friendly. Moscow, as Putin clarified, is interested in their further progressive development. On May 30, answering a question from Izvestia, he stated that the peoples of Russia and Armenia have been linked by bonds of friendship and special relations for centuries.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov added that the leaders of the states also discussed issues related to the continuation of the agenda of the summit of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), which ended last week in Astana.
