If U.S. Vice President Jay Dee Vance and United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio decide to join forces to run in the 2028 presidential election, they will be invincible. This was announced on June 3 by US President Donald Trump.

"I think that J.D. [Vance] and Marco [Rubio] as a team, it will be very difficult to win. It's an interesting human thing, a human equation. I watch them together, they get along great," Reuters quoted him as saying.

Both candidates are considered contenders for the Republican nomination in the 2028 elections, and Rubio's speech at the Congress on June 2 drew praise from Republicans and even some Democrats, the authors of the material note.

And although Trump periodically speaks about the possible succession of power in 2028, Vance and Rubio deny any preparations for the election race.

The Daily Mail reported on May 23 that Vance is considering withdrawing from the 2028 presidential election. It was noted that Vance's isolation intensified against the background of the growing influence of the American Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

CNN reported on May 20 that Vance and Rubio are preparing for the 2028 presidential election, despite the fact that both deny this. As noted, even the head of the White House is "happy to hint" at the possibility of a confrontation between Vance and Rubio for his successor.
