The Court of Cassation will begin considering an appeal against the verdict of Elena Blinovskaya, convicted of tax evasion and money laundering, on July 7. This was reported to Izvestia on June 3 in the press service of the instance.

It is specified that the court session is scheduled for July 7 at 9:30 Moscow time. The blogger is currently in a penal colony in the Vladimir region. Blinovskaya was sentenced to five years in prison, then the appeal reduced the sentence to 4.5 years.

A correspondent for Izvestia reported from the courtroom on April 22 that the Arbitration Court of the capital granted the application of Blinovskaya's financial manager for the recovery of almost 44 million rubles from her former top manager Tatiana Ostapishina in the bankruptcy case. During the consideration of the case, the financial manager pointed out signs of withdrawal of funds, which served as the basis for filing an application.

Blinovskaya was detained in April 2023 on suspicion of fraud for the purpose of non-payment of taxes. For about a year, the blogger was under house arrest. The Investigative Committee of Russia completed its investigation into the blogger on July 25, 2024.
