The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) is conducting searches in the building of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, the Ukrainska Pravda newspaper reported on June 3, citing sources.

According to media reports, law enforcement officers are "looking for old documents from certain joint investment institutions," but it is unclear which ones.

As part of the criminal proceedings conducted by the SBU, one of the former members of the commission appears, who worked under the leadership of the former head of the department Ruslan Magomedov, who is considered a friend of the former head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Ermak. The name of the person involved in the investigation is still unknown, it is specified that searches are also being conducted at his home.

On May 12, NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) handed Yermak an official suspicion, and also conducted searches in his house. On May 13, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine (VAKS) sent the ex—head of the office of the President of Ukraine to jail for two months with the possibility of posting bail of 140 million hryvnias, which is over $ 3 million. Ermak was taken into custody right in the courtroom, he denies all charges.

Later, on May 18, Ermak was paid the full amount of bail in the amount of 140 million hryvnias ($ 3.1 million). On the same day, he was released on bail from the pre-trial detention center. After leaving the pre-trial detention center, the defendant stated that he was not going to flee the country while his criminal case of money laundering through real estate was being investigated.
