In 2025, the customs authorities identified almost 8 million units of counterfeit products under the conditions of the existing wide list of goods of parallel import. This was stated by Deputy Head of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia Tatyana Merkushova on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on Wednesday, June 3.

She clarified that this turned out to be more than what was revealed in 2021 (7.1 million units).

"It should be noted that the import of original products as part of parallel imports is not an administrative offense or a crime. The customs Service is primarily focused on preventing the import of fakes," she stressed in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .

Merkushova clarified that if the declared product is subject to technical regulation, the declarant is obliged to confirm compliance with the requirements established by technical regulations by submitting documents and/or information confirming compliance with technical regulation measures.

Earlier, on May 27, the updated list of products that are allowed to be imported in parallel came into force, RT reports. The new version of the document from the Ministry of Industry and Trade excludes a number of items, including individual brands of laptops, computers and servers.

Among the deleted positions were Japanese dyes for Ricoh printers, materials for modeling Spin Master brand, as well as several niche perfume lines. We are talking about brands such as Juliette has a Gun, Filippo Sorcinelli, MEMO Paris, Vilhelm Parfumerie, Xerjoff and others.

Laptops, hard drives, monitors, components from HP, Asus, Acer, Samsung, Intel, Toshiba and other brands have also disappeared from the list of permitted "gray" imports, NSN reports.

Eldar Murtazin, a leading analyst at Mobile Research Group, said on May 28 in an interview with 360.ru that Russians will not be left without their usual goods. These goods have been and will continue to be delivered, they will simply be delivered officially, he added.

Some computers were excluded from parallel imports, as Russia has localized the production of them or analogues in sufficient quantities for demand, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation explained on May 4. The Agency expects that these measures will be able to increase demand for domestic products.
