Patrushev spoke about the work on providing animal vaccines to the regions

On June 3, Dmitry Patrushev, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, held a meeting of the permanent anti-epizootic commission of the Government of the Russian Federation. The issues of veterinary welfare of animal husbandry are in the focus of the Deputy Prime Minister's attention.

The participants discussed preventive measures for the spread and elimination of particularly dangerous animal diseases in the country, related to both agricultural and wild animals. An important factor in improving the epizootic situation is the systematic work carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture in cooperation with the Rosselkhoznadzor and regional services for vaccination of farm animals. As Patrushev emphasized, opportunities and tools have been created at the federal level to preserve epizootic well-being and competent interaction between responsible departments.

"The government annually provides a significant amount of funds for the purchase of vaccines and diagnostic tools for the regions. Over the past three years alone, over 11 billion rubles have been allocated for these purposes. In addition, as part of the national food security project, systematic work is underway to increase self-sufficiency in animal vaccines and veterinary medicines. For the uninterrupted supply of medicines for veterinary use to the domestic market, as well as for scientific research, a single state-owned biological industrial company was established in [20] in the 26th year. In addition, the Veterinary Safety Plan and the response algorithm in case of adverse situations have been updated," Patrushev said.

At a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on May 27, the Deputy Prime Minister said that the situation with the spread of animal diseases in the regions of the Russian Federation had been stabilized. Patrushev noted that the dynamics of livestock production in general corresponds to the level of last year.
