The flagship crossover of the Volga brand, the K50 model, was shown at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), the Izvestia correspondent reports on June 3.

The Volga K50 is based on the Chinese Geely Monjaro and differs from it by the original radiator grille. The crossover is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with a capacity of 238 hp, as well as an all-wheel drive system. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The length of the car is 4770 mm, the wheelbase is 2845 mm. The design uses adaptive suspension.

The Volga K50's list of options includes a panoramic roof with a sunroof, atmospheric contour interior lighting, and a 12-speaker speaker system. There is a memory function for adjusting the driver's and passenger's seats, massaging the driver's and passenger's seats, ventilation of the front seats, and an electric drive for adjusting the angle of the backrest in the second row. A set of technologies responsible for active and passive safety is provided.

Production of Volga models is carried out at the plant in Nizhny Novgorod, where previously Skoda and Volkswagen cars were produced. The project is being led by Nizhny Novgorod Passenger Cars. As reported on May 26, the starting price of the Volga K50 will be 4.2 million rubles. The crossover and two other models of the brand will go on sale in June.

On this day, AvtoVAZ presented the updated Lada Niva Legend SUV at the SPIEF. The model received a new engine, upgraded chassis and body, as well as new electronic systems.
