Sobyanin spoke about Moscow's exposition at SPIEF 2026
Moscow presented at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026) an interactive stand dedicated to key projects in the economy, industry, transport, urban planning, social sphere and housing and communal services. The exhibition introduces the forum's guests to the projects implemented in the capital and plans for the development of the metropolis in the coming years, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in a personal blog.
He recalled that Moscow has been leading the National Investment Climate Rating for the seventh year in a row and ranks first in the quality of life rating among Russian regions.
One of the central themes of the exhibition was infrastructure and technology projects. The visitors were presented with a digital train model of the future Moscow—St. Petersburg high-speed railway. Among the key exhibits is also a mock-up of a robotic cluster for the production of electric batteries, which is planned to be created on the basis of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ.
In addition, guests can get acquainted with the work of the Moscow Photonics Center, Russia's only mass—produced photonic integrated circuits. The exhibition also includes a mock-up of the Rudnevo hot water boiler house with a capacity of 39 MW. The fully automated facility runs on domestic software.
An entire section is devoted to the transport complex of the capital. Projects for the development of the metro, the renewal of rolling stock, and the introduction of unmanned vehicles are presented here. The stand also tells about promising urban development projects in Moscow, including the new STANKIN Moscow State Technical University campus and the intermuseum depository and exhibition complex.
The social block of the exhibition is dedicated to projects in the field of healthcare, education and digital technologies. In particular, visitors are shown models of the under construction building of the Sklifosovsky Research Institute of Emergency Medicine, a Children's multidisciplinary hospital, an innovative school on Olympic Avenue and a technology college.
"Moscow's exposition at the SPIEF clearly demonstrates that the city invests in people — in their health, education and quality of life, and technology is becoming a reliable tool to achieve these goals," said Sobyanin.
