The bloggers who suffered from the fraud told about the details of the incident
Russian bloggers who claimed a fraudster who deceived them out of more than 50 million rubles said that the attacker, who posed as Khatuna, promised profitable barter tours, but in fact embezzled money and only formally fulfilled the agreements. Bloggers told Izvestia about this on June 3.
Aliya Yenikeeva, a singer and blogger with 4.6 million subscribers on TikTok, said that she was attracted to the collaboration by another blogger who praised the work of a certain Khatuna, who allegedly takes influencers to expensive hotels by barter. Aliya decided to fly to the Maldives, paid another 490 thousand for her husband and 180 thousand for plane tickets, which had to be "urgently redeemed." However, the girl never received these tickets.
When Aliya became suspicious, Khatuna started "feeding her breakfast." According to Yenikeeva, the fraudster returns the money in small amounts so that they could not open a criminal case against her. Aliya and other bloggers have filed a joint lawsuit.
Blogger Polina Syrovatkina, with 3 million subscribers on TikTok, agreed with a fraudster about a trip to Mauritius with her mother: she paid 350 thousand extra for her, but the tourists were told at the hotel that only two nights were booked, and the hotel staff did not plan to cooperate with the Russian woman at all.
Blogger Valeria Kashapova decided to contact Khatuna to get a free number in Greece by barter for herself. The fraudster found out that Kashapova's husband's family was also going to have a vacation in this country and offered them a tour "for a couple of million cheaper." The blogger accepted the offer, but after that, instead of responding to the fraudster, she received an invitation to the chat of victims at her hands.
On June 2, Russian bloggers informed Izvestia about a large-scale fraudulent scheme that they had become victims of when booking an elite vacation. According to the victims, the organizer of the scheme positioned herself as a VIP player in the hotel business with exclusive access to hotels around the world. She offered bloggers accommodation by barter in exchange for advertising publications, but she demanded an additional fee for accompanying the second guest. The cost of such tours was significantly lower than the market price. The total amount of damage exceeds 50 million rubles.
