Two-time Grammy winner Peabo Bryson has died at the age of 75.
American singer Peabo Bryson, who gained worldwide fame thanks to the soundtracks to classic Walt Disney cartoons, has died at the age of 75. This was announced on Tuesday, June 2, by Variety, citing a statement from the artist's family.
"It is with broken hearts and deep sorrow that the family of two—time Grammy Award winner, singer, songwriter and balladeer Peabo Bryson announces his passing. <...> He passed away peacefully <...> on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, surrounded by his family and those closest to him," - The singer's family said in a statement.
Bryson won two Grammy Awards in 1993 and 1994. He received the first award for his performance of Beauty and the Beast from the animated film Beauty and the Beast in a duet with Celine Dion. The second statuette was awarded to the artist for the song A Whole New World from the animated film "Aladdin", which he performed together with Regina Belle.
